Here we are - in front of the "American Girl Place" store -- wow - they have 3 floors. :) Elder and Sister Kigin have been so very kind to us - making sure we know how to get where we need to be -- and that we have whatever we need. We certainly do appreciate them!

Elder and Sister Kigin took us to Macy's last night. It was fun seeing all of the decorations! Macy's is open from yesterday morning until I think about 5 o'clock Christmas eve - doesn't close.

We arrived on Friday December 4th - managed to rent an apartment on Saturday - moved in on Monday and started working at the Employment Resource Center. We have been able to meet with some of the other missionary couples a couple of times. Road the subway for our first time and managed to survive!

Day 4: Well what do you know --- we made it! Now if we can just get through this traffic!

Day 3 - on the road again!! Maybe we will stop in La Crosse and see where Nana lived on our way home...... We did stop every now and then the visit McDonald's. Getting closer to our destination!

New York City Here We Come!

December 1st - headed out for New York City to resume our mission. Miles and Miles of road!!

Sunny J Ashton

We were home for about 4 weeks while Bob was getting checked out by his Doctors. We were able to be with our family for Thanksgiving, which was a real treat for us! Joel came demonstrated flying his airplane which was fun for everyone. We also were blessed to welcome Tony and Mary's new baby Sunny J as our 26th grandchild! We are so very thankful for our family and the love and support that we receive from each one.

Our Week in Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Bun Thueon (our driver), his daughter and wife. Bun Thuen was our driver and he took good care of us while we were in Phnom Penh. On Friday afternoon, Bob was released from the Hospital and Bun Thuen took us around Phnom Penh to see just a little of the sites. We are greatful that we were able to meet him and his family.

The day we arrived in Phnom Penh Bob became very ill - towards evening we decided we better get him to a hospital. The Doctors there felt that Bob was having a heart attack - so they treated him as such - he was in intensive care the first evening and then was moved to a room for the next 3 days. The cardiologist arrived at the hospital the 4th day - ran some tests - and gave us a letter that Bob would be able to fly back home. So on October 31st we made our journey back to the United States and home where Bob could get checked out by his doctors.

October 25th -- Josh thought maybe he could come along!

MTC Training Completed

All the family came to visit us in Salt Lake City for a couple of days after we completed our training at the MTC and were preparing to leave for Cambodia.

Weekend trip to Rexburg!

We decided to drive to Rexburg on Saturday afternoon to see some good family friends
and Joel's family before we leave on Sunday to get back to the MTC!!

Grandma Ann and Bobby Boy are getting ready to serve their mission in Cambodia! They leave Oct 12th and the whole family is very excited! So we are getting Ann all set up with her new blog and hopefully with Skype, so that we can all keep tabs on her and Bobby Boy.
